Tell Congress: Co-Sponsor the ARA

The next farm bill is being written now, and we want to see resources like funding, research, and risk management for farmers and ranchers to implement climate-friendly practices. The provisions and investments needed in the 2023 Farm Bill to ensure the long-term viability of our farms and food system are outlined in the Agriculture Resilience Act (ARA). We need members of Congress to co-sponsor this bill.

Can you make a quick call or send an email today to your members of Congress?

Step 1

Look up the contact information for your your senators and representative by entering your zip code on this page.

Step 2

Leave a phone message or email for your legislators like this:

Hi, my name is ____. I’m a constituent and a ____ [farmer, parent, concerned citizen, etc.]. As your constituent, I care about climate change impacts on agriculture and on my community. Farmers need support to be part of the climate solution. Shifting to climate-friendly agricultural practices will require continued research, robust technical assistance, and financial incentives to reduce up-front costs. Please support climate investments in the farm bill by co-sponsoring the Agriculture Resilience Act."

(If you like, you may add in a brief personal statement about climate impacts). Then thank them, and you’re done!

Once you've made a call or emailed your members of Congress, tell us about how it went here.
